The prospect of discovering an old rare car in need of a little love is alluring to all of us. Barn finds are considered to be perhaps the most exciting times for any classic car enthusiast, even for Daniel Donovan of DD Classics who holds over 40+ years of market experience.
Recently Daniel has found two beautiful classic cars, an Aston Martin DB 2/4 Mk III and a Mini Cooper 1275 S. These cars have travelled all the way from New Zealand to be refreshed and added to his extensive car collection at DD Classics. Previously, these vehicles belonged to a top New Zealand scientist who, as time passed became sadly unable to maintain their condition. Both the Aston Martin and the Cooper S are in very good working mechanical order, having been just extensively re-commissioned. However, as the years slowly eroded away so did the aesthetic brilliance of these fantastic classic cars, leaving them mostly original, unmolested but with a delightful patina. Interested parties can see the various stages of the cars rebirth and return to their former glory on the new DD Classics Blog.
